Last Friday night a friend and I went to Imm Thai Cuisine in Annandale. My friend has been there before and it's really close to my house so we thought it would be good place to have dinner.
There is plenty of parking around the side in the Giant shopping center. The interior is adorable and quaint.
Alissa got a Thai Iced Tea which was much better then other versions I have had. It was sweet still but it didn't make you feel like you were going to get a cavity drinking it.
We started off our meal with Imm's Duck RollsAsian pancake w/ sliced duck, scallion, cucumber and sweet plum sauce$5.95. This was delicious, simple yet complex dish. I loved it. If you have had Peking Duck, this is kinda like a mini version of the dish.
I ordered the Chicken Panang Curryhomemade creamy peanut red curry sauce. The flavor in this dish was really good but the sauce was like soup-way to watery. Take a look at that rice pyramid..how awesome is that?
Alissa ordered Chicken Pad-See-Ustir-fried wide rice noodles w/ choice of meat, broccoli, egg w. sweet soy sauce. I thought this was really good, definitely had a prominent soy sauce taste so avoid if you are not a fan of that.
To end the meal off we ordered the Tempura Fried Cheesecake. Fried cheesecake?? Umm yes please. This was delicious. I normally don't order desserts but this is totally worth it. Frying cheesecake is genius. The fruit topping was really good, it wasn't overly sweet.
I'm glad to find something that's close to my house that is not Korean BBQ or fast food. Prices were good and so was the quality of the food, I have a feeling a will becoming a regular.
